We have a lot of new yarns that came in this week that we think you're going to love! Here they are!
Mamacha from Amano
We know it's hot out there but it's never too soon to get your winter hats made and this yarn is perfect for that! If there was ever a time to have feel-o-vision, this would be it. This is 70% Alpaca and 30% wool and 100% dreamy! Whip up a headband like Headband: Honesty or a chunky hat like Quick and Easy Slouchy Hats.
Young from Lang Yarns
This yarn is the so fun! The colors are spectacular and once again, the chunky and soft factor are through the roof! You could use this for finger knitting or whipping up a super fast project. We have mini pattern books for inspiration or make something like Paris in Winter Cowl or Homestretch Hat.
Ultra Pima Fine Tones from Cascade Yarns
This is the classic Ultra Pima fine but now with a speckled dye! It's youthful and easy to match with the beautiful solids that you love. Make and donate a festive pair of Knitted Knockers or whip up a Mischa Baby Dress.
Uneek Worsted from Urth Yarns
We love self striping yarns! It's the fun of having stripes without any of the work of making stripes. No jogs, no ends to weave. It's perfect! This 100% wool is squishy and stripey and perfect for making simple patterns look complex! We made the Cuffed Classic Hat and love the way it knitted up!
Passione from Lang Yarns
This yarn is one of a kind. It's made up of 82% alpaca, 16% nylon and 2% elastic! So it's super soft, light as a feather and has a stretch that bounces right back! Lang has lots of patterns for this yarn that you can browse and purchase on their website!
Symmetry from The Alpaca Yarn Co.
Remember that time I talked about feel-o-vision, well this is another yarn worthy of the concept. It's a sport weight that's 50% alpaca and 50% wool so it's like heaven in your hands! It's also 100% made in America! You'll want to use this yarn for everything; Or maybe a pattern like Ramble or Autumn's End or Polwarth.
Viva Glitz from Feza Yarns
Everyone needs a little sparkle in their lives! This is a wonderfully sparkly, DK weight yarns with great drape and beautiful hand-dyed colors. Use it for the Viva Glitz Lattice Shawlette or the Ruffled Interlude.

Have You Marked Your Calendar Yet??

We are so very excited to be joining forces with the ladies from The Plucky Knitter for a trunk show! The yarns are being chosen and dyed as we speak and the Ravelry pages are buzzing. This is going to be an amazing event that you won't want to miss.
Here are the details:
-Getting to the store is easier than ever! The Q Train has a stop at 96th Street and 2nd Ave so all you have to do is head south to 92nd St and you'll find us right on the southwest corner! The building is brick with very tall brick pillars. The exact address is 1763 2nd Ave.
If you're driving into the city, parking can be limited on the street but there are two parking garages on 92nd Street between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
- The show starts when the doors open at 11am and ends when the doors close at 5pm on Saturday, May 13th. Please be courteous of our closing time as we will have lots of clean-up to do when the show is over.
-Need a snack or lunch? We've got plenty of options! Directly across 2nd Ave. is a delicious pizza place called Delizia and there's a Dunkin Donuts right next to it. On the way from the subway there is a Starbucks and down 2nd Ave there are many options including Mexican, Japanese, and a few Diners.
We will also have some nosh and refreshments in store so we ask that you not bring outside food or beverages into the store. Yarn and stains are not friends.
-Unfortunately we will not be able to offer table help during this very busy day for knitting or needlepoint. We encourage you to come back on Sunday for any help you might need.
-We will not be winding yarn but you are more than welcome to bring it back another day and we would be happy to wind it for you then.
-We will not be giving punches for Plucky Yarn purchases and a full punch card cannot be used on a Plucky Yarn purchase.

If you have any questions feel free to call us at the store at (212) 360-7266.
We hope to see you the 13th!

New Sample!

We have a new yarn from Feza Yarns so of course we had to make a fabulous sample for it!
  Close To You Shawl

This shawl is called Close To You and it's a free Raverly pattern! It takes 1 skein of Uneek and a size US6 needle, although I feel like you could use a US7 instead if you wanted it to be a little bigger. Uneek is a self striping, machine washable yarn so it's great for a shawl like this as well as socks!
