Meet Yoshi and Lucy!
Join us on Friday, June 22 for a Trunk Show with Yoshi and Lucy Yarns! These fabulous fibers are hand-dyed in Queens NY, hooray for NYC dyers! From 3-6:30pm Denise will be here to meet you all as you meet her yarns. There will be various weights and colorways to choose from that will be perfect to start any project with as well as some refreshments to enjoy while you browse. Worsted Sock Class
Sarah Solomon has a new sock class series starting next week!

Worsted Sock Class
In this 3 session class we will work through an entire top down adult size sock in worsted weight yarn. We will cover all the mysteries of sock knitting, including starting with a stretchy cast on for a comfortable fit, turning a heel, picking up stitches without creating holes and grafting the toe stitches with Kitchener stitch for a seamless finish. Once you know the basics of sock knitting a whole world of inventive patterns is within your reach. In order to get the most out of this class, you should be comfortable knitting and purling in the round on double pointed needles or with magic loop.
Supplies: 300-350 yds of worsted weight yarn, preferably mostly wool content
US #4 dpns (or long circular for magic loop)
Regular stitch markers, removable stitch markers, darning needle
Skills Required: knitting and purling in the round on double pointed needles (or magic loop).

Beaded Crochet Classes

Cable Class!
Have you been wanting to know the art of cable knitting?? Well you're in luck because Sarah Solomon will be teaching a class on them next Wednesday!

Cables add gorgeous three-dimensional texture to your knits and once you learn the basic principles a whole world of patterns open up for you. In this class we will cover how to read cable instructions in both written and charted form, how to work cables using a cable needle, and how to work small-scale cables without a cable needle.
Experience Required: Basic knitting skills, should be comfortable identifying knit and purl stitches
Supplies to bring: Size US7 straight or circular needles (your preferred needles for flat knitting)

We are officially settled back in from being at Vogue Knitting Live last weekend! Thank you to all of our wonderful customers for making it the best Vogue show yet!
We had a couple trunk shows happening at Vogue so we just wanted to let you know that 2 of them are still in the store for you to enjoy!
There are some really wonderful kits from Three Irish Girls yarns!
With samples like the Factory Girl Cowl and Esjen Shawl! They colors are vibrant and the wool is super soft!
We also have a super fun trunk show with Feza Yarns!

It might not be snowing NYC yet but that doesn't mean you can't get into the winter spirit with some super cute Crochet Snowflakes!
 NEXT WEDNESDAY, Dec. 6, Dana (Freed) Fiddes will be teaching a class on how to make these fun snowflakes! They're perfect for decorating your apartment or work space. Here's what you need to know:
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Skill Requirements: Beginner Crochet skills
Materials: The smaller flakes were made with a fingering weight yarn and the larger flake was made with a bulky weight (Crazy Sexy Wool from Wool and the Gang-currently in stock). You can provide your own yarn or stop by the store early and pick some out. We have lots to choose from. The crochet hook you need will depend on the yarn so be sure to have one that's appropriate to your yarn weight. If you need help with this, the staff will make sure you're all set.

Anzula Trunk Show!
 You've waited a whole year and now it's here! The Anzula Trunk Show will be coming to Annie and Co. on Sunday, November 19th from 1-4pm. That's 3 whole hours of shopping from Anzula Luxury Fibers!

NYC Yarn Crawl!
 It's that time of year again! Grab your walking shoes, your reusable bag and your piggy bank because this weekend is the NYC yarn crawl!
This is a great opportunity to check out the yarn shops of nyc, meet some new friends and get some great deals on yarn! This year we are SO thrilled to have even easier access now that the Q train is up and running. Simply hop on the Q train heading north, take it to the 96th st. station and walk down 2nd Ave to 92nd street. It's that easy!
