We just received a big box from Dream in Color that is overflowing with Jilly Lace and Jilly with Cashmere!
 Jilly Lace is a gorgeous hand dyed yarn with plenty of yardage for any lace weight shawl. Each are hand-dyed making one of a kind!

Jilly with Cashmere is a fingering weight yarn that is just as unique from being hand dyed. This yarn feels absolutely luxurious and you'll want to be wrapped up in it always!

Mark Your Calendars!   
 
The Anzula Trunk Show is making it's way back to Annie and Company!! 
The great folks from Anzula will be in the store Saturday June 25, from 3-5pm. They will have their signature suitcases overflowing with gorgeous yarns in all the great colorways! There will also be a rack of samples as well as the patterns to go with them!
This has been one of our favorite events every year so we're very excited to be having it again! 

To make the event even more fun this year, we have decided to throw a raffle! In order to enter you must call or stop by the store to sign up for the event. The winner will be drawn at the end of the trunk show and you must be present to win. If you are not present, another winner will be chosen.
So be sure to sign up and keep an eye on your email as the trunk show gets closer for a sneak peek at the prize!

2 Knitting Classes THIS Saturday!

We  have 2 Classes this Saturday!

Just to remind everyone, we have 2 knitting classes this Saturday that still have spaces left in them!
 
From 11-2pm we have an Advanced Beginner Knitting class!

This is the follow up to our Beginner Knitting Class. This time you will learn how to purl, bind off, and weave in ends. This will let you make patterns like ribbing, seed and stockinette. Please being needles and yarn for this class. 
$50
 
  Then from 2-5pm is our Entrelac Class! 
Entrelac is a pattern of specific increases and decreases that make a beautiful woven fabric. In a self striping yarn it automatically comes out looking like the above sample! We suggest 1 skein of Silk Garden by Noro and 1 set of size US6 needles which can be purchased prior to the class starting. The self-striping nature of Silk Garden will lend itself perfectly for this pattern.

Customer Spotlight!!
Our customer Betsy I. has made the cutest, simplest sweater so we had to share!

The sweater is called Stripe Parade by Amy Miller and it's on Ravelry! Betsy makes it clear that if you don't want to make it in stripes, that's totally ok! She opted for a really fun colorway of Tosh Merino Light instead and we love the way it looks! Any fingering weight yarn will do well for this raglan, top-down sweater so your yarn options are endless!! Stop by the store and one of the knitting gals will be more than willing to help you get started!

We have a few fun things happening here at Annie and Co. over the next few weeks! Here they are:
Saturday, May 7 
Mother's Day is this Sunday! If you need that final personal touch for a gift we have you covered! Dana Freed will be offering her Bead Crochet Necklace Class this Saturday! Beginner Crochet skills are required and by the end of the class you'll have a finished and totally unique necklace to give your mom! Or be super sweet and take the class with your mom! There's no better present than your presence! The class is from 2:30-4:30pm and $90 will provide you with all the supplies you need.

Even More Spring Yarns!

This time around we have more colors of some of our favorite warm weather yarns from last year!

Zooey from Juniper Moon

This is a cotton/linen blend that we used all last summer! It's a DK weight so it's nice and light for a knit tank top or t-shirt.

Also from Juniper Moon, Neve

This chainette, 100% cotton yarn was another crowd favorite last summer. It's a worsted weight so knitting with it is a breeze!

Lastly, Bulky Cotton from Katia

We had a blast whipping up a quick chevron baby blanket in this yarn last summer. It's chunky without being heavy, making it perfect for last minute summer knits.

A New Yarn Trunk Show

This Friday we will be kicking off our trunk show with Feza Yarns!

Needlepoint Deadline for July 4th, 2016

Hello Needle-pointers!

If you are stitching a canvas that you would like finished by our fancy finisher, Trang in Texas, and need it back in time for July 4th, Independence Day, you must have it here at our shop by Friday April 8th, 2016 to be sent out for finishing. Trang does not accept rush orders because all finishing is hand done and requires some time to complete.

This dead line is Only for items wanted back in time for the 4th of July.

Advaned Beginner Knitting Class this Weekend!

Advanced Beginner Knitting Class! 
 It's time to take your knitting skills to the next level! You know how to cast on and knit but what if you want to make other stitches or finish your project? Well this is the class for you!
You'll learn to Purl, bind off, weave in ends, as well as the differences in a seed stitch, stockinette stitch, and ribbing!
The class is This Saturday, April 2nd, from 2-4pm and costs $50. You will be responsible for providing your yarn and needles but we can help you pick some out before the class if you need to purchase them.

Spring is trying it's hard to make it's debut so what better way to welcome it than with some spring time yarns! We have some new colors and new yarns that will be perfect for your warm weather knitting!

Grande is a new yarn from Lang that's a bulky 100% Cotton! Each skein has 68 yards. Need a last minute baby shower gift? Whip up a quick summer baby blanket with Grande!
Gamma is a yarn we loved from last spring that we're thrilled to have more of! It's a tape-like yarn that works best on a US6 or US7. This 100% cotton yarn is great for a cute tank or spring bag.
