I have been thinking about a lot about resolutions this year, but not the normal resolutions. Don’t get me wrong, I could stand to eat healthier, go to the gym more, spend more time with family, as well as some other things. But the resolutions that I have been thinking about the past few days are some knitting resolutions.

I asked a few of my knitting friends what their resolutions were, and they were all pretty much the same…to finish things. One said she wanted to finish what she already had on the needles (good luck…I know she has SEVERAL things on the needles), another said she just wanted to finish the things she started.

Another good knitting resolution is to learn a new technique. Have you always wanted to try cables? How about lace or fair isle? Maybe make your first sweater? Or even a pair of socks?

Knitting resolutions aren’t that different from any other resolution. To achieve your goals, you need to set realistic expectations, motivation and determination.

Good luck and Knit on!
